Distortion Sensitive Algorithm to Preserve Line Structure Properties in Image Resampling

    Get PDF
In order to remove less important content from image seam carving algorithm is used. In seam carving distortion is very low as compared to other techniques like scaling and cropping. The major drawback of seam carving is when seam intersects with straight line present in the image it distorts line structure; the line may become curve after distortion. This structure distortion not only degrades visual quality of image but also gives artifacts or aliased line structure. This paper presents a content aware seam carving algorithm to resize the image. After applying algorithm discussed the structure of regular objects present in the image can be preserved. In the proposed algorithm first line detection algorithm is applied over the image in order to detect possible straight lines present in the image. After detecting straight lines algorithm tries to find out intersection point of optimal seam with the straight line. Algorithm increases energy of local neighbourhood pixels of intersection point up to a predefined radius, so that no further seam can intersect same pixel again

    A Matrix Expander Chernoff Bound

We prove a Chernoff-type bound for sums of matrix-valued random variables sampled via a random walk on an expander, confirming a conjecture due to Wigderson and Xiao. Our proof is based on a new multi-matrix extension of the Golden-Thompson inequality which improves in some ways the inequality of Sutter, Berta, and Tomamichel, and may be of independent interest, as well as an adaptation of an argument for the scalar case due to Healy. Secondarily, we also provide a generic reduction showing that any concentration inequality for vector-valued martingales implies a concentration inequality for the corresponding expander walk, with a weakening of parameters proportional to the squared mixing time.Comment: Fixed a minor bug in the proof of Theorem 3.

In the current scenario as there is huge competition between domestic companies as well as multinational companies so survive in this situation its necessary to develop Indian multinational companies in foreign market to promote and achieve strategic growth. When they have multinationals entered into foreign market organization’s growth and development totally depends on certain issues like integration of supply chain network, cultural barriers and use of information technology in business communication There have been many researches done on the development of Indian multinational in foreign market from different perspectives. One aspect that there is no much research is issues faced Indian multinationals in foreign market. Thus issues such as cultural barriers, supply chain integration and use of information technology has become imperative and serious issues in many organizations. All the identified issues play a vital role in the development and success of an organization especially in the foreign market. This dissertation focuses on this vital factor. This study aims to comprehend the development of Indian Multinational companies in foreign market with special focus issues like supply chain integration, cultural issues and use of information technology in business communication. Tata group is the biggest private company in India. Tata started its business operations by collaborating with foreign partners, which is the foremost company in buying of foreign trades. Tata Refractories limited, a subsidiary of Tata group have entered into foreign market. TRL has faced several issues during the internationalization of the company such as cultural barriers etc. This dissertation highlights issues of culture, information technology and supply chain integration, which played a significant role of development of multinational, companies in foreign market with reference to Tata and TRL companies
